Office Manager

Greenway Property Services is a full-service landscape contracting company that provides property maintenance services (including athletic field construction and lining) to schools, universities, municipalities, state agencies, and Fortune 500 companies.

Job description

We are searching for an Office Manager of this quickly growing company to organize and coordinate HR, administrative and office procedures. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as an office administrator/manager and be a self-starter and out-of-the-box thinker

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional HR support to managers and field staff
  • Onboard new hires and maintain employee files
  • Provide training on HR topics as needed
  • Input hours and run weekly ADP Payroll. Process certified payrolls as required.
  • Manage new Crew Mobile time keeping system in Aspire
  • Maintain all HR/Employment policies, postings, and procedures for State of CT··
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are in compliance with all legal, tax, OSHA, HR and payroll requirements
  • Maintain follow-up system for employee medical cards and drivers’ licenses
  • Coordinate all office requirements such as contractor coordination for repairs and maintenance, safety checklists, purchasing of supplies, and other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish
  • Strong HR knowledge and aptitude. Minimum five years HR experience required
  • Good working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment labor laws and payroll laws and ability to apply them
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task to complete a wide variety of tasks.  Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Office Manager
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of ADP payroll, Aspire software and QuickBooks a plus
Landscaping Business Development Manager

Reports to: Director of Sales and Business Development
Location: Stamford, Connecticut, United States

Greenway Property Services is a premier landscape contractor located in Stamford, CT serving the Connecticut/New York area for more than 20 years. We are actively searching for a Landscaping Business Development Manager to join this growing company’s exciting, talented team.
At Greenway, we’re a tight-knit crew who are as passionate about caring for our clients as we care about each other. Though we’re a growing company, we maintain a small company feel and supportive environment that makes our team feel like a family.
If you’re looking to join a crew of talented go-getters who tackle big vision projects other companies could only dream of, you might just have found your match.
The ideal candidate must have prior landscaping/sales experience and an established network in commercial landscaping. In addition, they must be very comfortable selling business-to-business, including cold calling focusing on commercial accounts.
This is a very competitive market, but a highly motivated sales professional, who is organized, creative, optimistic, self-motivated, with outstanding interpersonal skills can be highly successful. Additionally, since this is a relationship business, we want to hire a “people person” who can build relationships with property managers, facility managers, and the like to provide leads to total landscape services for the properties they manage.
You must be able to proudly represent our company at networking events, submit formal oral and written proposals, and negotiate terms as needed. Along with this ability, the candidate must be able to work independently, be a good listener and be very detail-oriented.

Production Manager

Production Manager’s key responsibilities are:
Operations:
Ensuring the proper maintenance, storage, and use of equipment and that all crews have the appropriate equipment each day to perform that’s days tasks
Coordinating with the Account Managers to ensure our databases contains current client information
Ordering materials as needed, and monitoring costs and deliveries

Personnel:
Working with the Account Manager to identify staffing needs, perform hiring duties, and prepare daily crew schedules
Developing and reviewing growth and training plans for employees, and providing counsel and discipline
Coaching and developing cohesive teams

Safety:
Implement safety best practices and monitor safety record and equipment maintenance
Providing crew member training, including proper equipment operation, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards
Ensure that crew and equipment is always in compliance with all OSHA and DOT regulations

Job Type: Exempt Full Time, On-Site Position
Compensation:
Competitive salary ($65,000 – $85,000) depending on experience

Landscape Laborer

Location: Stamford, Connecticut, United States

Here’s what you’d do:
Create beautiful environments by providing landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties. Safely operate commercial grade landscaping equipment and ensure the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

You’d be responsible for:
Mowing, trimming, edging along borders, and blowing using power equipment
Pruning shrubs and low trees to improve the growth habit of the landscape
Planting and maintaining flower beds, and applying mulch
Picking up and removing unwanted trash, debris, dead or damaged trees
Weeding and mulching landscape beds
Maintaining a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customers

Experience and Requirements:
You must be at least 18 years old
Eligible to work in the United States
Enthusiastic, dependable and detail oriented
Ability to work safely with power equipment like mowers, weedwhackers, etc.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to work in a variety of outside conditions for extended periods of time
Landscape maintenance: 1 Year (Preferred)
Any landscapers who will be operating a Greenway Property fleet vehicle are required to have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Education:

High School or Equivalent (Preferred)
OSHA Certification (Preferred)

Compensation – $18 to $20 per hour paid weekly
